What will you be doing?

As the SDR Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of Sales Development Representatives, driving their success in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and contributing to the overall sales pipeline. This will include driving individual outbound prospecting as well as providing guidance, coaching, and support to help SDR team members achieve individual and team targets.

  • Lead the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team responsible for outbound prospecting across various sales channels, encompassing advisor and plan sponsor sales.
  • Drive outbound prospecting of new client opportunities with the SDR team, individually driving activity.
  • Support the team in surpassing KPI performance metrics, including call quotas and the number of meetings scheduled with new clients for internal sales teams.
  • Provide coaching to SDRs in sales techniques and best practices.
  • Spearhead the development of new initiatives, collateral, and resources to facilitate ongoing growth and enhancement of the SDR team.
  • Collaborate with other sales leaders to ensure alignment and optimize the team's impact.
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Sales Strategy teams to identify and access leads for the SDR team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of BDR/SDR experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Salesloft, and/or other similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding KPI goals.

The expected base salary range for this position is $65-$70k, plus variable. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 - 2 conversations about Vestwell, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but the usual next steps are a skill or experience screen (e.g. a coding interview for an Engineer, a portfolio review for a Designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in-person interview panel after that if the screens go well. Before making an offer, our interview process concludes with a references check stage for your recruiter to meet with a current or former supervisor and peer.
