Description/Job Summary

Job Description-Human Resources Specialist

The HR Specialist (HRS) with Leave & Benefit Administration concentration supports a group of clients, includes but not limited to:

  • Assists all employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, ancillary benefits, life insurance accident and disability insurance, COBRA, & HSA.
  • Process all ADP transactions with timeliness of data input.
  • Ensure all supporting documents are properly filed in the employee's file.
  • Ensure accuracy of ADP data through ongoing audits.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for management and first point of contact for the Company's employees regarding all employee benefits issues, concerns, and questions.
  • Provide assistance to management personnel and client personnel in the use of ADP.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel. 1 year of HRIS experience, preferably in ADP Vantage. Agile, ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline or
  • Responsible for the timely processing of all LOA/FMLA claims.
  • Ensures all unemployment claims are processed within the time limits proscribed by each State.
  • Manages unemployment claims and leave of absence logs.
  • Provides assistance and training to management personnel, and client personnel in the use of ADP.
  • Processes audits from EDD and other state agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Processes and audits ADP transactions as needed ensuring timeliness of data input.
  • Ensures all supporting documents are properly filed in the employee's file.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years' experience in Human Resources in an administrative capacity.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
  • Superior computer skills with particular expertise in Excel.
  • 2+ year of HRIS experience, preferably in ADP.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with LOA/FMLA processing.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Agile, ability to work in a fast paced - deadline-oriented environment.
