Position Objective

The Recruiter plays a pivotal role in driving Centric’s growth and achieving strategic goals by attracting, identifying, and hiring top talent. This role oversees the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and extending job offers. The Recruiter will leverage their deep understanding of Centric’s culture and values, along with a strategic mindset, to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.


Essential Job Functions

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of Centric
  • Strategically places job advertisements, engages with recruiters, and leverages online platforms for effective candidate attraction
  • Collaborates with the marketing department on recruiting related social media posts
  • Screens applicants and selects qualified candidates for the interviewing phase
  • Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
  • Attends and participates in job fairs, company presentations, and recruiting sessions
  • Organizes and attends college campus recruiting events and other networking opportunities
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely communication, feedback, and support
  • Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and hiring managers when necessary
  • Ensures candidates complete all relevant background and reference checks
  • Tracks recruitment KPIs such as time to hire, source of hire, and time to fill
  • Plays an active role during the orientation and onboarding processes
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least two years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or related experience, preferably within the construction or related industry
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 25% of the time)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude for conducting interviews
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
  • Ability to effectively communicate using construction industry-specific language and terminology
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruiting a variety of roles
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn ATS and HRIS software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Maintains composure and professionalism in difficult situations and effectively resolves conflicts without escalating tension
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and is able to accomplish tasks with minimal manager supervision
