Treatment Foster Care Specialist

The TFC Specialist is the primary support for TFC families and will enhance the well-being of children in the custody of the Department of Social Services, Children’s Division in need of stable TFC homes.
The TFC Specialist provides ongoing training, coaching, crisis management, and various resources.
The TFC Specialist meets with the family, in the foster family home, often to ensure needs are met and is part of the treatment planning team.
Required Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human service field from an accredited school.
**Related human service field shall be defined as psychology, psychiatric nursing, psychiatry, mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related human services degree.
Preferred Education:
- A master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related clinical field from an accredited college.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience working with children and families in the direct delivery of social services in a public or private agency.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience with the child welfare system
- Flexibility in working evenings/weekends
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
- Valid driver's license
- Valid auto insurance
