Overview

HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City.  We provide compassionate trauma-informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.


We are currently in search of a Director of Learning and Development (L&D) who will lead the charge in shaping our organizational growth through strategic learning initiatives. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs that empower our staff to excel in their roles. About the Position

As the Director of Learning and Development, you will be responsible for developing and leading organizational learning strategies that align with our business and cultural objectives. This role involves designing and delivering a variety of training programs, assessing development needs, and tracking the effectiveness of these initiatives. Your work will be essential in ensuring that our clinical staff receive the necessary training and that credentialing processes are coordinated effectively.


About Learning and Development

The Learning and Development (L&D) program at HOPE Community Services is dedicated to empowering our workforce through comprehensive and tailored training initiatives. Our L&D professionals focus on identifying the unique needs of both clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring that every training program is aligned with individual roles and organizational goals. Through a mix of instructor-led sessions, e-learning, and hands-on workshops, our team delivers impactful learning experiences that enhance employee skills and foster professional growth. By providing ongoing support, including new hire orientation and continuous professional development, our L&D program not only equips employees with the tools they need to succeed but also strengthens our organization’s overall effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan that supports our overall business and cultural goals.
  • Lead the organizational development of both clinical and non-clinical staff, focusing on training programs that address priority organizational concerns.
  • Design a diverse range of learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, and soft skills training, to support both short-term and long-term strategies.
  • Oversee the delivery of training through various channels such as instructor-led sessions, e-learning, webinars, and lunch & learns, ensuring that programs are tailored to the needs of different employee groups.
  • Implement robust assessment and evaluation processes to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs, using data and feedback to continually improve and adapt initiatives.
  • Coordinate the credentialing process for all staff and ensure ongoing training for clinical staff, including new hire orientation and core training.
  • Maintain and manage the learning management system (LMS) to ensure accurate training records.
  • Oversee staff development opportunities, including enrollment in certification and CEU classes, and ensure that appropriate staff members are enrolled in necessary training programs.
  • Promote a service environment that is recovery-focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related clinical field preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a training or learning development role. Experience in a mental health-related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong program management skills, proven track record in designing and implementing successful learning programs, advanced training skills, and excellent communication and public speaking abilities.
  •  Required to obtain and maintain certifications in Therapeutic Options, First Aid, and CPR.
