Title: Receiving Associate

Location: 4332 Empire Rd., Ft Worth, TX 76155

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Position Summary:

The Receiving Associate monitors and controls all of the purchased items that are received until they reach their safe storage area. This position is instrumental in protecting the inventory assets of Dot It.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving custom items: This duty has the associate receiving custom items from different vendors. All items should be verified from the PO and counted to ensure the amount delivered is correct. Once completed the product needs to be taken to shipping. Tag product for replenishment.
  • Receiving Buyout: This duty requires the associate to get shipping cost for the P.O adjust the P.O. verify the contents against the PO receive into Epicor to add to inventory. Tag box and give to put away associate to be located in proper bin. Request moves in Epicor.
  • Returns: upon receipt determine what order the return is associated with. Then the associate determines the contents of the box and if the contents are inventoried or waste. If inventoried the product is tagged and given to put away, if waste product is trashed.
  • Labels: Receive in labels from outside vendors.
  • Material Moves: Move received materials to the kitting room when needed for jobs in kitting room
  • Unloading: Unload trucks.
  • Record keeping: Responsible for filling out trailer inspection forms as well as filing SDS sheets
  • Assist: Replenishment associate as needed
  • Backup: Replenishment Associate and Production Warehouse Associate
  • Miscellaneous: Any other activity requested by management

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires forklift certification is both sit down and stand-up units, as well as familiarity with MOM, Epicor and Label Traxx.

Must have:

Experience in receiving and inventory control. Basic computer skills and knowledge a plus. Ability to visually inspect incoming product for damage.

Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization.
