POSITION OVERVIEW


The Laser Alignment Technician will be responsible for utilizing high-precision equipment to ensure the accurate alignment of various industrial components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in high-precision equipment alignment, have experience operating laser trackers, and excel in analytical problem-solving within an industrial environment. The candidate must be willing to travel and have a desire to teach, coach, and mentor others.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Operate Leica laser tracker for precise equipment alignment in industrial settings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex metrology issues, proposing effective solutions.
  • Perform high-precision measurements and alignment tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and calibrate laser tracking equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members (workers, superintendents, PMs, OEM reps, and customers) to achieve project goals and meet tight deadlines.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Proven experience in operating laser trackers (Leica, Faro, API, etc.) in industrial environments.
  • Ability and capacity to operate a total station, 3D scanner, and optical theodolite.
  • Ability and desire to teach, coach and mentor others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot metrology issues.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of mathematical principles.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work and interact with others daily.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office applications.
  • Experience with one or more of the following applications is a plus: AutoCAD, Spatial Analyzer, Polyworks, Inventor, or some form of CMM metrology software.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
  • Comfortable working in various industrial environments, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Capability to operate and maneuver equipment in confined or elevated spaces.

RESUMEN DE LA POSICIÓN


El técnico de alineación láser será responsable de utilizar equipos de alta precisión para garantizar la alineación precisa de varios componentes industriales. El candidato ideal deberá poseer una sólida formación en alineación de equipos de alta precisión, tener experiencia en el manejo de láser trackers y sobresalir en la resolución de problemas analíticos dentro de un entorno industrial. El candidato debe estar dispuesto a viajar y tener el deseo de enseñar, entrenar y asesorar a otros.


RESPONSABILIDADES CLAVE


  • Opere el láser tracker Leica para una alineación precisa de equipos en entornos industriales.
  • Solucionar y resolver problemas complejos de metrología, proponiendo soluciones efectivas.
  • Realice mediciones de alta precisión y tareas de alineación con una supervisión mínima.
  • Mantenga y calibre el equipo de seguimiento láser para garantizar un rendimiento óptimo.
  • Colabore con los miembros del equipo (trabajadores, superintendentes, gerentes de proyectos, representantes de OEM y clientes) para lograr los objetivos del proyecto y cumplir con plazos estrictos.


REQUISITOS


  • Experiencia contrastada en el manejo de laser trackers (Leica, Faro, API, etcétera) en entornos industriales.
  • Habilidad y capacidad para operar una estación total, escáner 3D y teodolito óptico.
  • Capacidad y deseo de enseñar, entrenar y orientar a otros.
  • Fuertes habilidades analíticas y de resolución de problemas con la capacidad de solucionar problemas de metrología.
  • Aptitud mecánica con una sólida comprensión de los principios matemáticos.
  • Automotivado con una fuerte ética de trabajo y la capacidad de trabajar e interactuar con los demás a diario.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y liderazgo.
  • Dominio de MS Windows, aplicaciones MS Office.
  • Se valorará la experiencia con una o más de las siguientes aplicaciones: AutoCAD, Spatial Analyzer, Polyworks, Inventor o algún tipo de software de metrología CMM.

  • Disposición para viajar según sea necesario.
  • Capacidad para levantar y transportar equipos de hasta 50 libras.
  • Períodos prolongados de estar de pie, caminar y agacharse.
  • Trabajo cómodo en diversos entornos industriales, que pueden incluir exposición al ruido, al polvo y a temperaturas variables.
  • Buena coordinación mano-ojo y destreza manual.
  • Capacidad para operar y maniobrar equipos en espacios confinados o elevados.
