on how the quality management system performs, publishes data, and reports company performance against set

indicators. The QA Manager advises on changes in the QC and QA procedures and systems, implements new

systems where necessary and provides training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality. The

QA Manager also continuously challenges and minimizes quality controls by setting up systems to assurance

100% quality without quality control.

Requirements:
  • Responsibility includes the management of activities for the safety, integrity, legality, and quality of our food products.
  • Leads the facility in the adoption and disciplined use of a clearly defined, well-documented, and systematic commercialization process for implementing change into plant processes for new product launches and product process redesigns.
  • The QA Manager is responsible for directing and supervising a team of QA Supervisors and technicians.
  • Assists the Plant Integrity Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, Food Safety Officer, Plant Chemist and R&D Department to obtain FSSC Certification and excellent audit ratings.
  • Implements quality management and food safety systems to assure adherence to FSSC to meet product specifications, regulatory compliance and plant and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for daily QA Lab operations.
  • Assists in setting QA Compliance Objectives and insuring targets are achieved.
  • Sets up the quality assurance systems for proper certification.
  • Supports defining plant process capabilities, sampling plans, protocols to transition product from R&D pilot to commercial manufacturing (e.g., in-process control points).
  • Supports translation of product specifications to appropriate manufacturing documentation.
  • Assists in the facility in consumer and customer complaint resolution and reduction activity across the enterprise.
  • Leads activities that empower, engage, and involve operators with the information and tools for continuous improvement in facility manufacturing processes.
  • Provides the means for incorporating the necessary tools, equipment, and methods into the new and existing processes aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Ensures consumer-acceptable product is being produced at the plant.
  • Leads changes to existing products in response to complaints, customer requests, or cost-saving activity.
  • Conducts audits of processes, systems, and production to ensure excellent audit results.
  • Ensures seamless exchange of technical and product information between and among functional areas (e.g., from R&D to the customer).
  • Leads and supports seamless exchange of technical product information between and among unit operations in a manufacturing process.
  • Guides the transition to operator-focused quality measurement.
  • Employs Quality management systems, TPM and Continuous Improvement to place Quality at the heart of the organization.
  • Supports Operations in embedding systemic corrective and preventative actions regarding internal and third-party audit deficiencies.
  • Ensures training of plant personnel in self-audits of their quality systems.
  • Determines & implements product dispositions.
  • Supports determination implementation of product dispositions regarding holds, warehouse, transport, and logistics.
  • Maintains cleanliness online and 5S standards. Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift.
  • End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift. Ensure proper care of equipment.
  • Follows all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Reports any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
  • Supports, and complies with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs and legality.
  • Supports and complies with GMPs.
  • Participates in TPM initiatives.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
