Job DescriptionJob Description

At Living Well Disability Services we transform the lives of people impacted by disabilities though the delivery of exceptional services. We are currently hiring a Regional Director to oversee the services provided in 8-10 licensed community residential programs throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. This position oversees a team of Program Managers and provides support to them in the areas of employee management and development, compliance, licensing, and the overall delivery of services in their programs.

Primary Functions of the Regional Director include:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Program Managers and Direct Support Professionals.
  • Lead the design and delivery of innovative and high-quality services for people with disabilities living in residential settings
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to the delivery of services to people with disabilities living in Community Residential Settings (245D, ICF-DD, etc)
  • As a member of the Leadership Team the Regional Director will provide collaborative operational leadership and participate strategic planning for the organization.Develop and maintain personal and organizational systems to effectively manage multiple tasks, requests and assignments.
  • Set and manage priorities and creatively problem solve when situations arise.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, individuals' interdisciplinary teams, and other community partners
  • Participate in the development of program budgets and work to ensure budgets are managed effectively and followed
  • Engage in the community and philanthropic efforts as an ambassador for Living Well Disability Services.
  • Support and role model the organizations values of Community, Advocacy, Respect, Leadership, and Wellness and our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
  • Complete other tasks and responsibilities as assigned and/or needed to ensure the agency meets its mission.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work collaboratively to support both the region and the overall organization
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to integrate mission focus with business acumen.
  • Track record of displaying strong ethics and values in leadership style and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in motivating, coaching, leading and managing people and groups of people.
  • Project management and supervision skills with experience in group facilitation.
  • Conflict resolution skills-sees conflicts as opportunities and can settle disputes equitably.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations of people who both provide and receive services.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated competency in the design and management of quality assurance systems.
  • Ability to manage through systems while balancing multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Competency in performance and outcome measurements, systems design, and analytical analysis.
  • Proficiency in computer technology and its application to improving service delivery and business performance.


To be considered for this position the applicant must have the following required qualifications:

  • Four-year post-secondary degree; QIDP credential must be earned within the first year.
  • Prior experience in the delivery of services to people with disabilities or related conditions.
  • This position requires the ability to travel between multiple sites and community locations. As such a valid driver’s license is necessary and the ability to be approved to drive for Living Well Disability Services is required.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services Background study as required by licensing and the State of Minnesota
