POSITION SUMMARY


We are seeking a full-time Analyst II in our Institutional Research Department who will performs a variety of research and analyses work in support of college planning, budgeting, program evaluation, student retention, and enrollment data. Maintains a high level of knowledge of data processing and research methodologies.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of performance measurement and the ability to critique the accuracy and presentation of statistical data. Experience in current best practices in usability and accessibility, following college, state, and federal procedures and regulations. Able to develop custom queries to evaluate quality of performance by adopting innovating technologies and techniques.


Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, analyze, and summarize complex research into reports for use in decision making. Maintains the ability to apply general principles of developing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative surveys.


Contributes to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities; and creating a work environment which supports and promotes diversity and inclusion. May be required to cross-train employees in work unit. Ability to responsibly provide assistance to other workers in the unit providing back-up support and supplemental services during busy periods.


Interacts with people in a professional, open, honest, and welcoming manner supporting the mission and goals of the college. Self-motivated with good organizational and problem-solving skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Performs technical and analytical tasks with emphasis on the collection, interpretation, reporting, aggregation and evaluation of data. Responsible for writing simple to complex queries for data extraction, analysis and prepares related reports and summaries.


Assist with the preparation of mandatory reporting and surveys to local, state, and federal entities. Develop and prepare written/oral reports, and workshop/seminar presentations as needed to support college community.


Gather chronicles and categorical research material and maintaining institutional databases and archive records. Manages multiple projects, sets priorities, and meets deadlines. Able to work with minimum supervision.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's degree or higher plus one (1) year experience in related field, OR Associates degree or higher plus three (3) years' experience in related field, OR High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six years related experience.
Requires regular and predictable attendance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Institutional research experience;

Experience using SAS SQL, Colleague, Power BI



**Will be subject to a criminal background check.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP


Reports to Director or Associate Dean but may vary based on organizational need.
