Fort Worth Vascular is seeking to hire a Bilingual, Full Time MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST at our main office in Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Vascular is affiliated with Privia Medical Group. We have served the greater Fort Worth area for over 10 years. Our physicians are award-winning doctors and have been named "Top Doctors" multiple times.
Under direct supervision of the Office Manager, the MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST is responsible for performing a variety of general administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process and performing routine duties within the clinic.
Qualifications:
Possess a calm, reassuring, competent demeanor and the ability to be sensitive to patient needs and attitude
Be capable of masking emotions and frustration when dealing with difficult situations and/or patients
Be knowledgeable about company, providers and service available
Understand the basic accounting principles necessary to perform daily close and cash audits.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends in insurance policy changes regarding vascular
Bilingual required - English/Spanish
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
EHR experience needed (NextGen a plus)
Responsibilities:
Front Desk Team Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Answering phones and scheduling patient appointments.
Checking in patients, verifying and updating patient insurance and demographic information.
Checking out patients, collecting co-pays or deductibles.
Greeting and directing patients according to policy.
Acts as liaison between office manager and physicians as well as other departments within the organization.
Oversees insurance verification process, in addition patient financial information to ensure a smooth flow of information within the front desk and other staff.
Ensures authorizations and referrals are obtained in a timely manner.
Supervises the daily activities of front desk staff.
Training/support of new and existing front office team members.
Ensures policies and procedures are consistently followed and provides re-education when necessary.
Manage office supply order (non-clinical) and inventory.
Monitor provider schedules, add or block appointments and rescheduling as needed.
Ensure smooth daily work and patient flow.
Communicate effectively with the office manager, team members and patients.
Any in-office or patient issues must be directed to the office manager immediately.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and personnel information at all times.
