Position Overview:

The Director of Operations will manage the daily administrative and business operations of the company, including accounting, human resources, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will ensure that company standards are upheld, clients needs are met, their fellow employees are satisfied, and financial performance is maximized. The position reports directly to the Owner of the company.


Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the Director of Operations include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and executing short-term and long-term company goals and objectives
  • Encouraging travel consultants to hit and exceed sales targets
  • Ensuring business operations are compliant with regulations and laws
  • Creating procedures and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Fostering strong partnerships with team members and third-party vendors
  • Managing recruitment and retention efforts of travel consultants
  • Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and service products


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Five or more years in a similar, agency-based operations management role
  • Prior travel industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to analyze P&L statements and develop budgets
  • Proven experience in operational process improvement
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
