Job DescriptionJob Description

This position is responsible for maintaining small parts inventory and assisting in the direction, oversight and coordination of logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service activities to meet internal and external customer needs.

Job Overview:

1. Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programs and operational procedures.

2. Work to solve and investigate customer’s long-standing or complex problems

3. Take action to ensure safety protocols are being met and followed in accordance with OSHA and MSI safety protocol.

4. Facilitate kitting activities based on customer requirements to ensure quality and on time delivery

5. Plan, oversee and/or complete warehouse activities and documentation associated with Receiving, Material Handling, Storage, Stocking, Loading, and Delivery.

6. Adhere to cycle count schedule and maintains up-to-date and accurate records of parts quantities and takes action to address deviations from expected levels in a timely manner.

7. Assist material handlers to evaluate and ensure stock rotation procedures such as FIFO, LIFO and customer forwarding procedures (Packing slips/corrected paperwork)

8. Serve as Gatekeeper to ensure warehouse and quality staff follow protocol supporting proper labeling and handling of inventory management including, but not limited to proper product dating, labeling, storing, etc.

9. Take action to notify production and warehouse management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability

10. Proactively collaborate with QC on parts moving into and out of quality hold status

11. Take action to verify and keep record of incoming material and verify the pack slip

12. Examines content and compare with records, including invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipments. Note and report any shipping damage to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

13. Carrie out receiving inspections in accordance with department policies and procedures.

14. Isolate nonconforming material in a labeled, quarantined area in preparation for dispositioning in accordance with department policies and procedures.

15. Clearly identify, mark and record customer owned property (inventory) in accordance with customer requirements.

16. Store and handle customer owned materials and products in a secure and protected manner in accordance with department protocol.

17. Deliver or route materials to departments using work devices such as forklifts, conveyors or sorting bins in accordance with department protocol.

18. Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements.

19. Verify and keep records of outgoing material and takes action to ensure information is filed, up-to-date and easily retrievable

20. Proactively seek to identify warehouse issues as they arise and takes action to bring concerns to appropriate staff and/or managers in a timely manner.

21. Serve as backfill for Wurth Inventory Control as directed.

22. Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, and loud environment required.

Ability to read and adhere to work instructions required.

Ability to multi-task required.

Knowledge of relevant OSHA regulations required.

Knowledge of and ability to operate PC, and various Microsoft office programs required.

Working knowledge and the ability to effectively utilize Zeus software platform required.

Ability to perform arithmetic computations required.

Ability to cross train into multiple work stations required.

Ability to effectively repair tooling required.

Knowledge of MSI and customer quality standards required.

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Valid Drivers’ License required
