Job Title: Compliance Consultant

Overview: As a Compliance Consultant, you will assist organizations in ensuring they adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will provide expertise in developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, and managing risk to help clients maintain regulatory adherence and mitigate compliance-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements to ensure clients' compliance obligations are met.
  • Design and implement effective compliance programs and policies tailored to clients' specific needs. Develop frameworks for regulatory adherence, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Conduct thorough compliance audits and assessments to evaluate clients' adherence to regulations and internal policies. Identify gaps, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Identify and assess compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and compliance practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for client teams to enhance their understanding of compliance requirements and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance audits, assessments, and investigations. Document findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Present reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and oversee interactions related to compliance issues. Manage responses to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
  • Review and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure policies are communicated effectively throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in compliance (e.g., CCEP, CISA) preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in compliance consulting, regulatory affairs, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of compliance principles and regulatory requirements, including experience with compliance programs, audits, and risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analyzing regulatory requirements, compliance data, and risk assessments to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage compliance projects, including coordinating with cross-functional teams and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
