In addition, the Facilities and Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the bank’s security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, facilities, and assets.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for the following functions:
• Oversees the day-to-day workflow and scheduling of facility projects, maintenance, and upgrades at all Peoples Bank and Trust locations
• Oversees the maintenance and contracts for all bank equipment. This includes vaults, coin counters, desks, alarms, etc.
• Engages in and oversees general contractors and vendors
• Ensures that all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner
• Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment
• Assists in the creation and implementation of security standards, policies and procedures, keys and locks, and alarm functionality
• Oversees, plans and directs security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or other company property
• Manages the transportation of various items between all Peoples Bank and Trust locations as needed
• Manages the Facilities and Maintenance Specialists and the janitorial staff, while performing those duties as needed or as backup
• Communicates with management and staff regarding the facility’s needs
• Makes recommendations for repairs and improvements to management
• Various other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of basic facilities, equipment maintenance, policies, procedures, and strategies, knowledge of basic elevator equipment maintenance including fuse boxes and breaker boxes and knowledge of basic waste disposal procedures
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 + years of custodial or related experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Attention to detail, self-motivation, self-management, problem-solving, efficient time management, good independent judgment related to maintenance and repair and prioritization, maintenance project management, good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and willingness to work with constantly shifting priorities


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
TALKING: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly
AVERAGE HEARING: Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in an office as well as in outdoor environments around other customers and bank personnel
REPETITIVE MOTION: The employee is regularly required to type, stand, walk, as well as lift and carry various items normally not to exceed 70 pounds; occasionally required to move furniture or other large items that weigh over 70 pounds, but will lift these items with the assistance of another person
FINGER DEXTERITY: The employee is regularly required to use hands to clean, conduct routine maintenance work using various equipment and implements, as well as type and maneuver a mouse
AVERAGE VISION: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts)
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds (unassisted) as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time


WORKING CONDITIONS
General professional office environment with climate control and adequate lighting. Regular outdoor work, exposing employees to natural weather conditions. Regular travel to and from other locations within the city. Required regular work attendance on Saturdays. Regular hours outside of bank operation hours to complete tasks as necessary.
