Job DescriptionJob DescriptionESP is currently recruiting for Level II and Level III CE&I Inspectors for highway and bridge projects throughout the San Antonio and Austin District area.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the CE&I Transportation Inspector on TXDOT and County transportation construction projects performing inspection services for asphalt, concrete, erosion control, traffic control, earthwork, and other construction materials and processes as influenced by the project
  • Complete daily reports of Earthwork Construction logbook, activity logs, progress updates, and any other necessary documentation as per management or client
  • Ensure project organization and coordination with other field personnel
  • Assist with the preparation of the Final Estimate package
  • Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed per plans and specifications
  • Obtain, prepare, record and review all materials used for the project to ensure correspondence with specifications
  • Measure and verify the precision of dimensions, installations, and construction activity

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in the inspection of transportation projects and certifications from TXDOT are preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in TxDOT roadway construction inspection
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Proficient in SiteManager software
  • Must be able to have the ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Candidates will be required to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
