- The Industrial Electrical Technician II is responsible for assisting higher level technicians in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance on the buildings and facilities equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- This position will troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical and mechanical facilities equipment; replace lamps and repair lighting systems; perform inspections, lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.
- Responsibilities: Assists the team by performing repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Performs basic troubleshooting, maintenance and minor repair of low voltage lighting systems and electrical equipment such as switch gear, disconnects, faulty breakers etc. Performs basic electrical repairs to switches, outlets, and lighting ballasts. Ability to run and bend conduit and wire for new equipment locations.
- Operates aerial and platform lifts. Reads and understands schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Demonstrates solid understanding of Lock Out Tag Out practices and procedures. Operates a PC with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Assists in the movement of machines/fixtures, materials, and equipment as required.
- Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required. Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
- Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
- This position is responsible for providing an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance on the facility machine tool equipment in an industrial environment.
- Responsibilities: Identifies and corrects any safety-related issues and performs independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
- Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures and wearing PPE as required. Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations
- Performs preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment.
- Troubleshooting of basic electrical components. Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. Differentiates between cause types when troubleshooting among product, process, mechanical, and electrical contributors.
- Reads and interprets mechanical and electrical schematics/prints. Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required. Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
