About the Role

Amentum is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician III to join our facility operations & maintenance team in Greenville, SC. This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00p.m., with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level maintenance and repair services for industrial HVAC/R equipment, including ventilation systems, pumps, fans, rooftop AHUs, and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits, including 3-phase power up to 480V, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems.
  • Utilize building automation systems to track building conditions and equipment operation, and perform energy efficiency solutions.
  • Respond to customer requests and provide feedback on work orders, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance, and maintain a safe working environment by following proper safety guidelines and wearing PPE as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with three years of experience as an HVAC maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
  • EPA Type 1 certification, and ability to work in aerial lifts or scissor lifts at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb extension ladders, and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience working with electrical voltage up to 480V 3 phase, and troubleshooting and repairing Variable Frequency Drives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical school diploma in industrial electrical, industrial mechanical, HVAC, or a related skilled trade.
  • Experience working with restaurant-style refrigeration systems, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
