We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team at Ingersoll Rand. As a key member of our Industrial Technologies and Services Division, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including compressed air systems and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Ensure the correct installation, maintenance, and field repair of industrial equipment, including compressed air systems and machinery.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose problems, recommend corrective action, and perform repairs in an unsupervised environment.
- Technical Advice and Training: Provide technical advice and training to customers, potential customers, field salesmen, and field service trainees.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Submit clear, accurate records and/or oral reports to the manufacturing facility.
- Business Integrity and Communication: Maintain a high degree of integrity in handling business affairs and possess proper written and oral communication skills to transfer information related to service work.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems, preferably with experience on compressed air systems/centrifugal technologies/solid controls.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; desired degree program in Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC.
- Certifications: EPA 608 /F-GAS 303/2008/CE/ISHRAE Certification preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in diverse conditions, including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock.
