Role purpose:

The Assessment Program Manager will support a key LRQA customer and will develop relationships with the client, vendors, and factories globally and drive social compliance and sustainability initiatives. They will work in partnership with the Manager, Senior Manager and other LRQA staff to meet customer expectations and execute against our SOW obligations. The position will help to represent the customer externally with supplier and service providers and internally with LRQA delivery teams. They will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Program Management and indirectly to the Customer for whose program LRQA has management responsibility. 

 

 Key Responsibilities:

A dynamic and instinctive individual to contribute to a client’s social responsibility and human rights program. The Assessment Program Manager role is responsible for facilitating the customer’s risk monitoring program. They will be responsible for ensuring the assessment plan is executed against expected timelines, communicating directly with suppliers before and after assessments and working closely with the program lead to shape the program.

 

The primary responsibilities include the following:


  •  Supplier Communication
    • Contact the client’s vendors to validate their facility details
    • Provide clear guidance to the client’s suppliers if they need to provide updated or new facility information
    • Provide clear guidance to the client’s suppliers when responding to inquiries
    • Maintain supplier escalation details to be shared with the client
    • Plan, communicate and continuously monitor execution of the assessment plan internally and externally
    • Pre- and Post-assessment communications with suppliers, sharing expectations, addressing questions, and supporting successful execution of services
  • Maintain internal guidance, standard operating procedures and instructions that allow us to meet client expectations and SOW obligations.

 

  • Contribute to reporting and performance measurement for the account that aligns with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
    • Keeping trackers up to date, accurate and available to Client on a regular basis
    • Proactively use LRQA data systems to anticipate and resolve issues
    • Willingness to communicate during non-traditional working hours
    • Guide and work closely with a global team of staff within LRQA supporting the Customer to meet expectations and SOW obligations

 

Key health & safety responsibilities:

Eliminate or minimize employee exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessments, and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LRQA activities.

Manage your own, and your team’s, compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements to ensure employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Experience in Ethical Sourcing/Labor Compliance/Environmental arena either for a brand/retailer or service provider
  • Analytical Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • 4-year college degree
  • High level of integrity; extreme attention to detail
  • Create and entrepreneurial mind
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
