General Ledger / Accounting associate - Williston, Vermont 

Pay - $29.00

Shift - Monday - Friday , 8am-5pm

Duration - Temporary 

The associate performs daily control procedures to ensure financial controls are in balance and functioning properly; reconciles more complex general ledger accounts; reconciles statements, proofs, and loans purchased and sold in the secondary market, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and guidelines approved by management.

Specific duties include:

  • Performs daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation for specific general ledger accounts with a higher degree of complexity.
  • Perform the fixed asset accounting and associated depreciation schedules on the Prologue software for general journal entries; ensure proper recording of new purchases. Prepare roll forwards as needed.
  • Perform daily control procedures to ensure financial controls are in balance and functioning properly; investigate and resolve out of balance conditions that occur. Follow, develop, and implement procedures to support daily control processed.

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail is a must. 
  • Superior customer service skills
