POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a results-driven Partner Marketing Director to cover our current director's maternity leave from November 2024 to July 2025. In this role, you will oversee the execution of marketing strategies across our trade business, collaborate closely with our group department, lead the partner marketing team, and drive sales growth through non-direct channels. This position is best suited for a marketer with a strong understanding of executing co-op marketing plans and the ability to take on special projects from start to finish independently. It requires a combination of leadership, creativity, and analytical skills.


This is a temporary position with a duration of up to 8 months.


Requirements:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Execution: Implement and adapt existing marketing strategies to achieve business objectives, drive sales growth with our trade partners, and respond to market trends.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor the Partner Marketing Team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure alignment with overall department objectives and company goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with other departments, senior leadership, and external partners to align trade marketing efforts with business objectives and drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the trade marketing budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure cost efficiency. Monitor expenditures and track ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • Content & Brand Management: Lead content strategy for co-branded websites, the Travel Agent Portal (TAP), partner co-op plans, trade resources, trade media placements, and other trade channels. Ensure brand accuracy and consistency across all trade marketing activities and collateral.
  • Email Marketing: Manage all aspects of trade and group email communications, from strategic planning to distribution. Collaborate with the Trade Marketing Content Specialist to create and maintain the content calendar, ensuring content is strategically aligned, delivered accurately, and meets high-quality standards.
  • Brochure Distribution: Oversee the relationship with our distribution warehouse, including inventory management, special projects, and order fulfillment. Work with internal teams on order quantities and creative approvals for the 2026 season.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Work with other team members and departments to prepare and analyze tracking reports for partner-related marketing initiatives such as email performance, website analytics, and other vital projects. Use data to drive improvements and enhance partner relationships.
  • Representation & Events: Represent the company at in-person external partner meetings, consumer and trade shows, and other events. This role requires travel, including occasional overnight and out-of-state trips, approximately 10-15% of the time.
  • Continuous Improvement & Additional Duties: Seek areas for improvement within the role, implement necessary changes, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Marketing Expertise: Proficient in traditional marketing techniques, with a strategic approach across multiple channels aligned to the strategy and goals per partner. Digital marketing experience is a plus.
  • Customer-centric Leadership: Foster a service-oriented approach in managing relationships with external partners and internal teams. Ensure timely delivery of marketing projects and assets that consistently meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Commercial Acumen: Possess strong business sense and excellent communication skills. Adeptly manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering effective collaboration across the team and departments.
  • Impeccable Execution: Highly organized, adaptable, and able to work under deadlines alongside the team. Proactive in driving results and fostering team success with an agile mindset. Comfortable identifying concerns and/or potential bottlenecks and raising them with appropriate stakeholders to ensure projects move smoothly.


EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of marketing experience preferred knowledge/familiarization of the travel industry and B2B partner accounts highly preferred


TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to utilize web tools and in-house technical resources, adapt to new technology, learn new programs quickly, and use computers and technology to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to use Excel spreadsheets to store and manipulate account data.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Infrequent travel may be required
