As a Field Service Technician, you provide quick and efficient support by quickly assessing each situation and determining the best path forward. Sometimes you solve the problem with advice or a solution on the spot. Sometimes you will need to roll-up your sleeves, dive in and troubleshoot the heck out of it.

The job may require travel up to 100%, but while not at the customer site you will work locally with the testing department and utilize your skills to help validate our products as they move through the manufacturing process.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client sites and perform equipment setup, operation, equipment adjustments and minor preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Effectively train the customer on proper use of equipment.
  • Identify problems, test solutions and report findings.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of industrial automation and power distribution equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime, including working a flexible and variable schedule as needed to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to understand and follow blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical systems using multimeters and other appropriate equipment
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure maintaining a customer-focused mindset.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and understanding of schematics. Able to maintain composure and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving issues.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment installation, servicing and repairs or related fields.
  • High School or GED Diploma required; Associate degree or Certification in related fields preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible with your schedule as work hours will be based on business needs.
  • Travel within the U.S.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Working Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Additional Qualifying Factors

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience preparing complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as from customers engineering interpretation.
  • Must be able to complete criminal record background check.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must comply with all company policies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for long periods.
