Adam Search Group has a great opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the Robinson Township PA area (west Pittsburgh). This is a hybrid role where you will be able to work 3 days onsite and 2 days at home. In this role, you will oversee and direct all general accounting activities including maintenance of accounting systems and the delivery of key financial management reports. You'll manage the accounting team which is responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation.

What they are looking for you to do:

  • Responsible for the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provide financial analysis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Eight years or more of related experience.
  • At least five years of general accounting experience with at least two as a manager of an accounting department.
  • Detailed knowledge of AR / AP, internal controls, and month-end reporting
  • Thorough understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
