Founded in 2007, Blue Stone has a well-developed staff of advisors and seasoned subject matter experts from all over the country.

We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Experts (SME's) that can perform the following tasks associated with Finance and Grant Management:

  • Review and assess current Finance Department policies and procedures, identifying any key gaps involved or issues and alignment with best practices
  • Develop a list of recommended updates to current policies and procedures, and list of new key policies and procedures for development
  • Develop and present updates to current and new policies and procedures
  • Develop new and revise current policies and procedures based on assessment and upcoming changes to 2 CFR Part 200
  • Review and assess current grants management process against best practices
  • Develop options for new grants management process and review with Tribal Administration leadership
  • Develop a detailed process and procedure for new grants management process
  • Present and train key staff on new process and procedure
  • Excellent report development and presentation skills
  • Operational assessment/evaluation
  • Budget review, research, and analysis
  • Ability to provide project-specific support with multiple Blue Stone projects and/or clients
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or another relevant field of study
  • Significant experience and expertise in a Tribal government or Tribal enterprise

COMPENSATION: $25 - 75/hour


Job descriptions are used primarily to assist in the identification of the core duties and responsibilities of a position and to be used in determining the level of compensation for the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be added or removed at the description of the company.
