The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree (PhD, DBA, JD, Ed.D.) with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught. The Academic Instructor of Economic Finance will be responsible for developing and providing students with an approved DeVry University syllabus, organizing and preparing course materials, and using appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus.
  • Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.
  • Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software.
  • Model effective oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
  • Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
  • Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
  • Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
