The Product Marketing Manager at Stax plays a crucial role in driving revenue targets by launching new products and refining the positioning of existing solutions. This role primarily focuses on three key audiences: Stax Connect partners, indirect and direct merchants, and internal customer-facing teams. Success in this position involves equipping the account management, growth management, and business development teams with relevant product training, effective marketing materials, and well-positioned updates to foster growth and achieve business goals.


The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for crafting and implementing powerful strategies that enhance pre- and post-sales customer experience. Performance will be evaluated based on the overall business impact of these initiatives and the ability to work effectively across different functions. This role is tasked with developing, executing, evaluating, and improving Stax Payments’ product marketing strategies, focusing on enhancing customer conversion and creating effective sales enablement programs.


The Product Marketing Manager at Stax Payments reports to the VP of Marketing.



Key Responsibilities & Objectives

  • Deeply understand our target segments and buyer personas by engaging regularly with current and prospective customers and champion their needs to shape our go-to-market strategy
  • Gain expertise in Stax’s Products, mastering the unique use cases across different segments, industries, and personas
  • Inform product team in collaboration on strategy, market dynamics, and customer voice in regards to roadmap planning and product review/input
  • Lead product/feature launches (as applicable) with cross-functional teams, determine goals with product team, create marketing campaigns to promote to prospects and customers, and empower internal teams
  • Develop compelling solution messaging and positioning, leveraging user research, market insights, and deep product knowledge
  • Equip account management, growth management, and business development teams with effective marketing and training, ensuring they're prepared as new products and features launch
  • Own our competitive intelligence and drive respective enablement through battle cards
  • Analyze the customer lifecycle from lead generation to wins/losses to renewal/churn to expansion/referral to identify and create execution plans around key improvement strategies
  • Lead the strategy and execution of in-app messaging campaigns using Pendo to drive user engagement, feature adoption, and customer retention within our application
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Product Marketing experience
  • 3+ years' experience in the payments industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of payment solutions and their application within a marketing context.
  • Effective communicator, skilled presenter & growth minded interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong track record of working on cross-functional leadership teams for collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills - this role will interact with customers as well as our sales, product management, support, campaign marketing, and executive leadership teams
  • Resourceful and self-motivated for this growth opportunity
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative climate
  • Experience in Fintech and payments a plus
