As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will help administer and process vendor invoicing and payments. You will be responsible for quarterly vendor statement reconciliations. You will also be responsible for ensuring financial reporting of the payables for the organization while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- WORK SAFELY – Accidents are preventable.
- Manage properly coding and entering all vendor invoices timely.
- Collaborate with our vendors on any outstanding issues with payments, credit, and any change in management of accounts payable.
- Responsible for timely preparation of quarterly and yearly vendor statement reconciliations
- Coordinate and execute all month end closing processes within the company’s closing deadlines.
- Collaborate with the other financial roles within the organization & other departments, as necessary.
- Assists in the management of the expense reporting system & records the monthly credit card expenses.
- Identifies, reports, and capitalizes on all capital expenses of the organization in alignment with the accounting policy.
- Ability to identify and streamline process improvements within the function and apply automation where possible.
- Coordinates with the controller the weekly cash flow updates
- Complete filings and ensure compliance with all state and local tax requirements.
- Develop processes to maximize full efficiency of the accounting system.
- Assist with ERP Financial conversion to consolidate financial reporting into one system.
- Support and supply all information requests for the year end audit.
- Assist in coordinating accounts payable for any new acquisitions.
- Support as a backup for other corporate functions as needed.
- Prepare AD-Hoc reporting as required.
- Other Duties to be assigned as necessary.
- Experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience with QuickBooks, JP Morgan Chase, Expensify, and NetSuite.
- Experience identifying & implementing process improvements & lead change.
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office and Google Spreadsheets
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Display strong work ethic and teamwork.
- Ability to work over 40 hours when needed and travel occasionally.
- Strong analytical/quantitative and communication skills
