CUSTOMER FULFILLMENT REPRESENTATIVE

(Hybrid Position)

Department: Customer Service

Reports To: Customer Fulfillment Lead

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

General Purpose of the Position:

The Customer Fulfillment Representative is responsible for providing the highest level of service to ensure a positive experience for the customer with each interaction.

Receive and enter orders, verify customer account, products, pricing, and shipping information.

Communicate with customers via email and phone to confirm order details and updates, information about products, respond to inquiries and issues, all while promoting a positive company image. Build and maintain a highly satisfied and loyal customer base through engagement, meeting needs, making product recommendations, and providing exceptional customer service every step of the way.

Education, Experience, and Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Required:

A high school diploma or GED is required. A college degree or work experience providing transferable skills is a must. CTS certification a plus. Must have 2-3 years of Customer Service experience, Audio/Video or IT industry knowledge helpful.

Strong communication, attention to detail, data entry, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are required. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Ability to work in a team environment. Proficient with computers/various programs, video meetings/messaging applications, and Microsoft Office. The ability to listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and enter orders accurately, confirming order status and product availability.
  • Work with internal departments and vendors to complete orders.
  • Confirm customer account and payment terms, process payments.
  • Respond to customer requests via email and phone.
  • Provide product lead times, shipment tracking, and other information requested.
  • Promote sales of new or additional products and services
  • Escalate unresolved customer issues to designated departments/management for further investigation and resolution.
  • Keep up to date technically and apply new knowledge to your job.
  • Meet required team goals & report to pre-designated workstation 8 hours per day.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Infrequent light physical effort required.
  • Viewing various computer screens over extended periods of time

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is in an indoor office setting.

Career Path:

The Customer Fulfillment Representative has various career paths that are available to be followed. Staying within the Sales Department the Customer Fulfillment Representative could move up to Customer Fulfillment Lead or Business Development Manager. Another Path for the Customer Fulfillment Representative could be a move to Inside Sales, or Technical Marketing. All associates are encouraged to have discussions with their Department Manager and Human Resources to review job descriptions and requirements for career advancement.
