What Would you do?

  • Lead and mentor the team on data engineering, AI, and automation.
  • Collaborate across teams.
  • Lead development to production lifecycle that supports developing test cases, scripts and code review.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment of software.
  • Improve processes for infrastructure and applications.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and scalability of the infrastructure, application, and services.
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures clearly and concisely
  • Create, maintain, and optimize .NET applications to support business needs.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and logging for Azure resources for optimization.
  • Provide support and administration of legacy Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Assemble large sets of data that meet business requirements.
  • Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Azure, ETL tools and SQL technologies.
  • Provide feedback on application architecture to improve performance and reliability.
  • Automate repetitive administration tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Keep abreast of current technologies and offer recommendations to use updated technology.

What do you need?

  • 5 years of experience supporting Windows and LINUX environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology. Experience or industry-recognized certifications may be considered in lieu of education. 4+ years of experience in DevOps, data engineering or similar roles.
  • 5 years of administering database environments in Oracle and/or Azure which includes SQL/PL-SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
  • 5 years of experience in ETL data products and building data pipelines in cloud environments.
  • 3-5 years leadership experience.
  • Expertise in scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • 3-5 years of strong Azure knowledge.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools in areas of responsibility.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure.
  • Understanding of security best practices in areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to design and manage scalable infrastructure to support operations.
  • A valid NC Driver’s License.

More about this position:

  • Normal working conditions and hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Some irregular working hours may be required due to the nature of our business. The duties of this position are primarily performed in an office environment or computer room with travel required as necessary to the position. Must be available for work during adverse weather conditions.
  • This position is Hybrid, which allows an employee to perform work at both an EnergyUnited Office location and their home.
  • All employees assigned to headquarters must live or be willing to move within one of the nineteen counties that we serve or within a 40 mile radius to any EnergyUnited EMC office.
