Summary/Objective:

As a Teller & Call Center Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our members through both in-branch Teller duties and Call Center support providing flexibility and adaptability in day to day duties. Your primary responsibility is to ensure a positive member experience by handling financial transactions, answering inquiries, and resolving member concerns. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable handling cash as well as assisting members over the phone.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Teller duties

  • Process a wide range of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage cash handling with precision, ensuring balances are correct and adhering to security protocols.
  • Assist members with account inquiries, product information, and any concerns, providing a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate with all back-office departments for assistance and member requests
  • Open and close various types of accounts, certificates, etc.
  • Create/order ATM/Debit cards for members
  • Process stop payments, print statements and histories for members.
  • Remote Capture of checks
  • Balance cash drawer daily
  • Assist with night deposits and ATM deposits
  • Other duties in the branch may include counting cash delivery, balancing ATM, filing, keeping teller area and branch clean and organized, help with “end of day” duties, stocking lobby with supplies

Call Center Support duties

  • Handle incoming phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, answering questions and resolving issues related to member accounts and services
  • Assist with call center overflow, ensuring that members receive timely assistance regardless of the channel through which they contact us
  • Order checks and debit cards, process stop payments, mail statements and histories
  • Provide help with digital banking, reset PINs and passwords
  • Assist branches with problems in the phone center
  • Scan checks, transaction tickets, membership agreement forms, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical demands

  • May require standing or sitting for an extended period of time
  • Extended period of time viewing computer monitor
  • Handling – ability to touch, feel, lift, operate and control equipment, tools and objects with the hands
  • Reaching
  • Carrying, lifting up to 25 lbs.


Travel required

Other credit union locations locally as needed

Required education and experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6-12 months cash handling and customer service experience
  • Previous call center experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with financial software systems
  • Minimum 6 month financial institution experience preferred
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task
