Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Reports to: Production Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Perform all tasks involved in the production of company products. Produce work pieces to specifications under supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read and interpret instructions on a Manufacturing Control Sheet (MCS) and Shop Order. Enters start time and completion data into system.
- In accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), effectively completes required processes to manufacture product. May include assembly or operation of equipment to ensure high quality product.
- Inspects finished product for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and productive work area.
- Proactively alerts Production Manager (PM) or designee to material problems or other developments that may disrupt or delay production schedule.
- Maintains cooperative communication across the organization.
- Effectively and efficiently works in a variety of work centers.
- Follows all safety guidelines and uses safety equipment that is provided.
- Able to accept constructive feedback.
- Other duties as assigned contributing to the success of the organization meeting its strategic goals.

Area Specific Scope and Responsibilities:
High Volume Production (HVP)
- Able to perform basic vacuum deposition process, including use of Helios coating chambers
- Inspects substrates and coating plates/covers for cleanliness, scratches and digs before applying coating
- Follows written Standard Operating Procedures to remove tooling from coating chamber
- Performs initial spectroscopy measurements of product using spectrophotometer
- Follows rejection procedures when necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Understands how to work in a clean room environment effectively
