As a Vehicle Installer at Ozark Mountain Van Company, you will be responsible for the installation and customization of a variety of van components and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with automotive work, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service. If you are passionate about working with vehicles and enjoy solving technical challenges, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure van accessories, including but not limited to lighting, audio systems, communication devices, and security features.
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute complex van modifications.
- Interpret and follow wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and installation instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of installed components and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Test and quality-check installations to meet company and client expectations.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Installer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and electronics.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy components.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle a wide range of tasks and pick up new processes quickly.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of the product reflects your abilities.
- A strong moral compass, doing whats right even when its difficult and no one is watching.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
- Employment Status: 1099 Independent Contractor role, providing flexibility to manage your schedule and workload.
- Compensation: Up to $45 per hour. Each job has a predetermined number of hours associated with it (e.g., a suspension kit installation may be allocated 20 hours).
- Hours of Operation: Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility in crafting your work schedule is available once you are established within our team.
