Your Mission:

  • Develop a strategic plan to enhance EOEAs existing GPMS work and collaboration with the state DOL employment system.
  • Communicate effectively with business teams, technical staff, and leadership to convey technical concepts in simple business terms.
  • Adhere to the client's project management methodology, policy, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
  • Manage and monitor system operations and resources to research, track problems, and implement solutions.
  • Lead activities to support routine operations including invoice management, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts, SQA, Development, and other teams to ensure timely and precise operations and projects.
  • Institute appropriate controls to manage project scope and track changes through periodic reviews and evaluations.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly project status reports on progress against planned objectives, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor results against established timelines, deliverables, tasks, and associated technical specifications to mitigate project delays or failures.
  • Lead the initiation, planning, and implementation of projects, ensuring technical feasibility in collaboration with teams.
  • Manage relationships between internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

What You Bring:

  • Five (5) years of experience in IT project management with a capability of managing complex, cross-functional IT projects.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity managing a small to medium-sized team in a large IT enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to independently analyze, document findings, and recommend solutions.
  • Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation and policy writing skills.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project).
  • Methodical and detail-oriented to support invoice management, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to effectively delegate and multi-task.
  • Proven conflict management and managerial skills; decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaboratively work with technical and non-technical staff, as well as upper management.
  • Strong ability to follow through on tasks to completion.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate a plus.
