Inside Sales Job Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist/Strategic Sales Support position is a multi-functional role focusing on achieving sales growth objectives for a defined book of business for small to medium non-strategic customers as well as developing business with new customers in a defined region. The role also includes supporting strategic customers in collaboration with outside sales to ensure continued growth, engagement and overall positive experience for our company’s top customers.

Inside Sales Duties

  • Ability to grow and drive sales in existing small to medium non-strategic accounts in an assigned region via outbound calls.
  • Establish new business opportunities within new and existing accounts via phone, email or electronic communication in an assigned region.
  • Educate customers on full product portfolio, marketing campaigns/promotions and new product initiatives in an effort to grow customer sales and revenue growth.
  • Provide support to existing assigned strategic accounts to ensure continued growth, profitability and strong customer relationships.
  • Work in collaboration with outside sales to assist in daily sales tasks related to strategic accounts.
  • Maintain outstanding working relationships with strategic and non-strategic accounts to assure overall customer satisfaction.
  • Attend manufacturer’s product training to expand product knowledge.
  • Communicate with various departments to resolve customer requests and/or problems.
  • Provide training, product information, and ongoing engagement to customers.
  • Ability to communicate and present across all levels of management and customers.

Required Experience

  • 3 years of experience of inside sales and customer service/support
  • Redistribution experience highly preferred
  • Experience within Jan San, Paper, and Food Service items
  • Microsoft Office
  • Excel
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and sales professionals.

Education

  • B.A. Preferred, minimum Associates Degree
