SUMMARY 

The purpose of an Inside Sales Representative is to communicate the voice of the customer within the company to ensure satisfaction, communicate to provide clarity between the company and the customer on services delivered or to be delivered and act as a co-liaison with the sales team. This position is also responsible for providing customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner, entering data into the system including orders, communicating customer feedback, initiating and/or implementing corrective actions or seeking authorizations as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews purchase orders received for price, Inco-terms, lead time and nomenclature. Enters purchase order information into ERP system.

  • Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer, including shipping information and tracking numbers.

  • Communicates customer concerns/complaints, changes in releases, etc. to plant and sales management. Coordinates on-time delivery to customers. Works with Accounting on payment issues. 

  • Reviews and communicates sample status reports/updates. Follows up on Sample Approvals.

  • Routes orders to other departments and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.

  • Receives and checks customer complaints and informs appropriate internal departments.

  • Confers with Production, Sales, Shipping, Warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

  • Supports the Sales function in acquiring new sales with existing customers.

  • Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management. Sales Forecasting, Past Due Reports, CRM database, New Tool Reports, Sales Price Log, NAFTA, etc.

  • Participates in ISO/QS activities, as required. (Customer Surveys, etc.)

  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

At least an Associate's Degree or equivalent; at least one-year experience and/or training; Production Control and Customer Service experience a plus
