As a Business Development Associate, you will have the opportunity to work across various sales territories, gaining valuable experience in different markets. This hands-on approach allows you to learn the intricacies of the business and contribute to the success of the company on a broader scale.

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement effective lead generation strategies.

Client Relationship Building:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct client needs assessments to understand their HVAC and manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide product information, demonstrations, and presentations to clients.

Sales Process Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, quotes, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Order Entry and Data Entry:

  • Accurately enter and manage orders in the system.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date and organized customer records.

Existing Customer Retention:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Revenue-Generating Industry-Specific Projects:

  • Work on industry-specific projects to generate additional revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a sales role preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Mechanical technical aptitude; willingness to learn and understand basic mechanical equipment.
  • HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in an office environment in Stamford, CT.
