What you’ll do: As a Travel Superintendent, you will be working on exciting projects primarily across the Southern United States, often with extended overnight stays out of town. Likely markets include, though are not limited to: Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Otherwise, travel may range from 90 miles from a local rand* office to other states across the country.

The Travel Superintendent is responsible for all the field staff on a project and will make sure that projects are built according to plans and specifications. They will supervise work of all subcontractors, vendors, laborers and other project stakeholders. They are responsible, along with Project Manager for having the material, tools/equipment, information and staff requirements on the jobsite in the proper place in a timely fashion. The Travel Superintendent handles all correspondence and forms required by the rand* office—e.g., daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, accident reports, etc. They will monitor the work being performed, direct the subcontractors and schedule all work according to the requirements of the project schedule. The superintendent effectively utilizes management skills in directing supervision of subcontractors, along with coordinating subcontractor’s activities within the scope of their duties. This position also requires excellent communication skills, both internal with the rand* project team, as well as externally with the client team. The Superintendent is responsible for promoting rand*’s reputation for exceptional client service.

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or experience working in the trades is required; college experience preferred.
  • Must have 6 years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior projects
  • OSHA 30
  • Capable of managing projects up to $10M
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • OSHA Competent Persons Training preferred

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and others.
  • Continual determination for self-improvement.
  • Procore experience.
  • Proven track record of client satisfaction and project profitability as a traveling superintendent
  • Excellent safety record.
