What they build: Office Buildings, Industrial, Retail, Corporate Interiors, Healthcare, Hospitality, Community Divisions, Multifamily

Superintendents: ($75K-$140K DOE) Dallas

  1. Good tenure- 3 jobs or less in the last 10 years (a little more flexible on this role)
  2. Experience in building all phases of construction projects
  3. Working with construction drawings, project schedules, and structural specification sheets
  4. Similar size environment-This company has about 200 employees; not looking for someone coming from really large organization

10% travel if that, they do have a few traveling Superintendents so if they like the travel aspect they can put them in a role that allows for that

Growth trajectory is there; if you do well you will get noticed and advance

Interviews on Monday/Tuesday so we can have an answer right away, if they interview towards the end of the week they will still need to wait until Tuesday before leadership approves.

Superintendent

DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for building all phases of certain construction projects. This is a full-time exempt position.

The Superintendent reports to the Sr. Vice President of the division. This is a full-time exempt position. Some travel is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver project on time and on budget
  • Coordination of all field activities
  • Regular interaction with sub-contractors and vendors
  • Coordinate and manage with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator on field changes, RFI’s, and change orders.
  • Ensure jobsite in organized and projects a professional image
  • Perform jobsite safety meetings
  • Other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position may supervise a Site Coordinator or an Assistant Superintendent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates at the construction worksite. The employee may be exposed to heavy machinery, and outside weather conditions. The noise level could on occasion be very loud. This role will use office equipment such as computers (to include tablets), phones, copiers and/or printers.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, hear, use their hands and fingers to reach and grab, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Detail-oriented with leadership and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

- Strong analytical and problem solving capability

- Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgement and discretion

- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

- Familiarity with standard construction practices

- Experience and knowledgeable in all construction trades

- Able to read and understand construction drawings, project schedules and structural specification sheets

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in this or a similar role

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

-Associates Degree in Construction Management or Project Management/related field or commensurate experience required.
