Position Overview
Outstanding opportunity to join a successful growing company in Salt Lake City, UT. We are looking for a talented individual to join our accounting team as an accountant I. The position will report to the Division Finance Manager and will play a critical accounting/operations role in the day-to-day accounting and monthly reporting for the SLC division of the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for assisting with AR: Customer billing, collections, post cash receipts to G/L, reconcile AR to G/L monthly.
- Responsible for assisting with AP: entry of payables into Sage 100 ERP and cut weekly checks to suppliers. Reconcile supplier statements and to the G/L.
- Assist Manager with inventory and reconcile monthly to G/L.
- Post journal entries monthly. Perform a number of month-end tasks including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Creating accounting processes with the assistance of the Controller
- Support Controller with ad hoc reports, analysis, information gathering, etc.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of accounting education/experience required.
- Detail-oriented.
- Responsive to customer and vendor inquiries.
- Problem solver.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Able to balance multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office 365 products.
- Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Driven toward personal and team success.
- Previous experience with Sage 100 or other ERP systems a plus.
This position is eligible for benefits including health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k matching, and supplemental insurance. Salary is dependent upon experience.
