Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Privacy Expert I or II to join our team and contribute to our mission. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of our members' sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address Privacy-Related Queries: Respond to and resolve privacy-related inquiries and provide guidance to our team members.
  • Investigate Privacy Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into privacy incidents and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Recommend Corrective Actions: Provide recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future incidents and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Handle Individual Rights Requests: Process and respond to individual rights requests under HIPAA, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Collaborate on Training Sessions: Participate in the development and delivery of privacy-related training sessions to educate team members on best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain Privacy-Related Databases: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of our privacy-related databases, including maintaining up-to-date records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, health policy, communication, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of privacy work experience for Privacy Expert I or 5-7 years of privacy experience, including work with HIPAA, for Privacy Expert II.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Complex Legal Language: Demonstrated ability to understand and apply complex legal language.
    • Research and Interpretation: Proficiency in researching, interpreting, and applying laws and regulations.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Privacy-Related Laws: Strong knowledge of privacy-related laws, especially HIPAA.
