An industry leader in premium Black Angus beef seeks a motivated individual looking for an opportunity to put his or her international sales experience to use in a fast-paced environment. The role of International Sales Manager is a critical role for the growth of Creekstone Farms. Creekstone has already established a leading market position in our target markets in Asia, North America, and Europe. There is, however, considerable potential to grow our current market share worldwide with both new and existing customer accounts. This growth will come both from geographical expansion and from developing our existing sales networks in existing markets. This position manages sales of company products within an international market; Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel; Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

Territory is predominantly focused on Asian markets, but may include other territories such as the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, United Kingdom, South America, and Mexico.

Position is preferably based on the west coast with travel to Arkansas City, KS at times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Developmental role reporting directly to and supporting the Director of International Sales.
  2. Responsible for sales of branded Angus beef products.
  3. Developing strong customer relationships, expanding business with existing customers, and new account development and retention.
  4. Responsible for the growth and profitability of volume beef sales.
  5. Resolve customer issues on price, delivery, and quality.
  6. Implement sales strategy and tactics that ensure the company’s sales goals and objectives are achieved.
  7. Reduce inventory levels by selling off long suit list, aged inventory, and slow moving product to industry contacts.
  8. Working with personnel from internal departments: production quality control, marketing, R & D, product managers, etc.
  9. Minimal international travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ideal candidate will be a true salesperson with exposure to beef and beef variety meats and by-product sales.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years progressive sales experience in beef sales.
  3. Valid US passport required.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication, decision-making and negotiation skills.
  5. Proven ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationships with customers.
  6. High energy and ready to learn about and establish themselves in the beef industry within the international arena.
  7. Strong Excel spreadsheet computer skills.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Bilingual speaking preferred.

  1. Working knowledge of live and box beef markets and displayed industry contacts preferred.
  2. Must be aware of international variance in culture and legal issues pertaining to sales.
