Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Specialist to join our team, overseeing responsibilities related to both Accounts Payable and Receivable. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining precise financial records, managing vendor and customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient processing of payments and receipts.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Process and record accounts payable transactions promptly, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies, and foster positive relationships with vendors.
- Monitor and manage payment terms, discounts, and credit terms to optimize cash flow.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record and reconcile customer payments, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions.
- Follow up on overdue payments, collaborating with the sales team to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Manage customer credit limits and terms to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
- Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
General Financial Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
