This key position is chartered with supporting the sales teams within SMC and TMC helping us define and tell the story of our unique and combined, compelling value proposition.

They will work with various cross-functional departments. executing strategic plans and programs along with supporting innovation and commercialization. They will work to support, with data and insights, our category management leadership.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales in developing custom narrative and presentations for key customers leveraging insights and competitive perspectives. Can be part of presentation team.
  • Develop and guide around core sales materials (presentations, POS, Trade show materials, etc.)
  • Responsible for designing, leading or co-leading internal and customer specific ideation or collaboration events.
  • Plan and execute business initiatives as defined to drive growth for our SMC companies and portfolio.
  • Define and coordinate the annual marketing calendar across the sales organization.
  • Consult with and guide the business units on marketing promotions.
  • Create and manage promotional collateral that establishes and supports product branding.
  • In collaboration with sales, gather and/or procure data and insights to support sales efforts and establish category leadership within the SMC companies in their respective channels.
  • Stay current on industry competitors and customer insights analysis.
  • Leverage market trends and consumer research to identify new category, channel, and product opportunities.
  • Lend expertise and assist in launching new products and redefining existing products.
  • Assist with product development with respect to packaging, pricing, and new product launches.
  • Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including social media, email campaigns, website management, and online advertising.
  • Use extended network of contractors and consultants to complete initiatives.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 year minimum Marketing experience
  • 5 year minimum experience in CPG retail, foodservice and industrial marketing.
  • College Degree or equivalent
  • Start Up experience a plus
  • Track record of effective ROI measurement and achievement.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to leverage all stakeholders.
  • Experience in scaling marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in a matrix organization
  • Adept at effectively managing multiple priorities.
