Post-Production Specialist (Photo/Video)

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Post-Production Specialist for Photo and Video to join our creative team. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest quality of visual content for our brand. The Post-Production Specialist will be responsible for transforming raw visual materials into polished and captivating content that aligns with our brand standards and creative vision.

This role requires an individual who is highly skilled in photo editing techniques, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses the ability to enhance and retouch images to perfection while ensuring the final files are named, tagged, stored, and organized properly. Additionally, the candidate will have experience in video post-production, including editing, color grading, and incorporating motion graphics to produce engaging video content.

The Post-Production Specialist will work closely with our photographers, videographers, and creative team to ensure consistency and quality across all visual assets. This position demands a high level of creativity, technical proficiency, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Photography post-production – 75%

  • Image Editing: Retouch and enhance photos to meet the brand’s standards and creative vision.
  • Color Correction: Adjust colors, contrast, and exposure to ensure consistency across all images.
  • Background Removal: Clean and remove backgrounds from product images.
  • Image Composition: Composite multiple images and elements to create a cohesive final product.
  • Batch Processing: Efficiently process large volumes of images using automated software tools.
  • Acquiring Vendor Imagery: Work directly with Buyers, Vendors, and our Ecommerce team to source all imagery from vendors; finding ways to make the process more efficient and less time-consuming
  • File Management: Organize, name, tag, and maintain an orderly library of imagery and videos in Canto (our Digital Asset Management platform).
  • Quality Control: Perform final checks on all images to ensure they meet quality standards before publication.

Video post-production – 15%

  • Editing: Assemble and edit raw footage into a polished final video, including cutting, trimming, and sequencing clips.
  • Color Grading: Enhance the color, contrast, and lighting of video footage to ensure visual consistency.
  • Sound Editing: Sync audio with video, adjust levels, and incorporate sound effects or background music.
  • Motion Graphics: Create and incorporate graphics, titles, and animations as needed.
  • Format Conversion: Export videos in various formats and resolutions suitable for different platforms.
  • Quality Control: Review final videos to ensure they meet technical and creative standards before release.

Other Project as Needed – 10%

  • Graphic Design: Assist as needed with overflow production of print and digital creative to support internal partners, stores, and consumer experiences using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred in Photography, Film Production, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in photo and video post-production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, CaptureOne).
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci, CapCut).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of color correction and grading techniques.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a digital asset library.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a creative team.
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance.
  • Ability to work up to 5 days a week in our Acton, MA headquarters
