This position requires traveling to at least 3 locations. The ideal candidate must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
  • Rooming and triaging patients.
  • Setting up exam rooms for Mohs, excisions, and biopsies.
  • Assisting the doctor in all Mohs and other surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
  • Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
  • Other duties as assigned to the back office.
Education:
  • High School Diploma required.
Qualifications:
  • Must have 1-2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
  • Prior Dermatology experience is a plus.
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong phone etiquette.
  • Teamwork.
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
