New Business Development Sales Representative - HR Services

MidAtlantic Employers Association (MEA) delivers comprehensive HR-driven business solutions designed to help companies grow and we are hiring MEA is a non-profit company with a rich history in assisting employers of all types and sizes in coping with their ever-expanding HR issues. We offer a friendly culture, including a smaller and collaborative work environment as well as opportunities for growth.

We are currently seeking a New Business Development Sales Representative to join our growing Membership Development Team. The individual in this role would be responsible for identifying and pursuing individuals who align with our target profiles and whose organizations would benefit from a Membership relationship with MEA.

The ideal sales candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and will excel at researching leads, cultivating new relationships, and driving sales. In addition, the successful candidate will be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase MEA's offerings in a compelling way.

This is a full-time, permanent position with the ability to work remotely. Ideal candidates will be based in the PA, NJ, DE, and MD areas with the ability to travel to the King of Prussia, PA office on occasion.

Objectives:

  • Represent MEA's value, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet Member needs
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage Member sales leaders in next steps
  • Identify best practices for refining the company's lead-generation playbook

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Salesforce, Zoom Info, cold calls, and email to generate new Member sales opportunities
  • Understand the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate Member tools and/or services
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) Members and Member sales leaders
  • Report to Director of Member Engagement with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results
  • Attend HR networking events to establish, maintain, and grow business relationships

Requirements:

  • B2B Sales experience is required, preferably in HR Services (e.g., payroll, benefits, recruitment, consulting, PEO)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Self-starter, ambitious, and ability and desire to contribute to a growing organization and grow within a sales department
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
