Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

Kalos is hiring multiple BAS Building Automation Systems technician to handle small to large projects including Big Box Retail, Grocery Stores, Multi-Level Buildings, remodels, and new construction. (One of our primary customers is Walmart/Sam's Club) Knowledge of low voltage control systems and programming, transformers, switches and relays is necessary.


Our main office is located in Clermont Fl. The locations of the job sites can range from 30 minutes from your house to distances that will require out-of-town stays for the week.


Schedule -

This is a night shift position scheduled Sunday - Thursday 8PM-5AM with the ability to travel will be a requirement. Some of the job duties are as follows:


Requirements:
  • Installing and configuring sensors and other hardware components. Installing and connecting different size wires to junction boxes, relays, and other electrical components as part of the wiring and installation of the BAS.
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems that are part of the BAS. This could involve using electrical test equipment to measure voltage, current, and resistance, and identifying issues with the system in order to ensure its proper functioning.
  • Building and fabricating control panels to house various components of the BAS, including relays, transformers, and controllers. This may involve working with different size wires, terminals, and connectors to wire the components together and ensure that the control panel is constructed in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Contact equipment manufacturers, such as Novar and Honeywell, to arrange for start-up services. Start-up services involve ensuring that the EMS system is properly installed and configured and that all components are functioning as intended.
  • Provide detailed information about the BAS, such as its make and model, as well as information about the building and electrical system where the EMS system is being installed.
  • Be present during the start-up to provide information and assistance, as well as to ensure that the manufacturer's technicians have the access they need to perform their work.
  • Install conduits, such as EMT conduit, as well as other types of conduit, to protect wires and cables that are part of the EMS system. This may involve running wires through walls, ceilings, and floors, depending on the specific building and electrical system configuration.
  • Ability to work 40-50 hours per week.
  • Ability to work night shifts throughout the year.
  • Ability to stay out of town for a week at a time when the job location requires.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly.
