JOB DETAILS

Pay: $31.50 - $36.50 Per Hour

Shift: 6a-6p, rotating schedule

Week one - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday

Week two - Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain high visibility and engage employees daily to solve problems hands-on.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and safe employee practices.
  • Develop a high-performance team with strong engagement and productivity.
  • Monitor production schedules and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure product quality through standard work procedures, training, and use of tools.
  • Implement customer-focused processes aligned with lean principles.
  • Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, 5S, and housekeeping.
  • Lead change initiatives and foster continuous improvement.
  • Manage inventory and ensure supplies meet operational needs.
  • Drive plant-wide improvements in processes and performance.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans as needed.
  • Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and develop staff to meet objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive training in operations, safety, and record-keeping.
  • Identify career development opportunities for associates.
  • Schedule personnel effectively for seamless shift changes and troubleshoot progress.
  • Oversee paperwork related to operations, logs, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Utilize PDCA process for problem-solving and improvement.
  • Respond promptly to production or delivery needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and address unsafe conditions.
  • Administer policies fairly and consistently.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
  • Align with company goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and cost reduction.
  • Report safety, quality, and disciplinary issues promptly.
  • Foster cross-shift communication and resolve issues among supervisors

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):

  • Participate in assigned continuous improvement events.
  • Facilitate SQDCE meetings and accountability board utilization.
  • Communicate daily with employees about team performance, initiatives, policy changes, safety, and quality.
  • Support employee development through performance management, coaching, and feedback.
  • Train and develop production line staff in extrusion processes.
  • Manage scrap vinyl to minimize waste.
  • Ensure on-time completion of extrusion production schedule.
  • Perform extrusion operator duties as required.
  • Operate all extrusion equipment proficiently.
  • Collaborate with the extrusion team to implement cost-saving processes.

DIRECTION OF OTHERS (Include but are not limited to): 

  • Manage a team of manufacturing associates.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment by actively listening, gathering facts for decisions, and taking prompt action when necessary.
Qualifications

  • 1+ year leadership experience in a manufacturing setting preferred 
  • Extrusion experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to walk/stand for long durations (duration of shift excluding breaks)
  • Ability to lift or team lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $31.50 - $36.50 per hour + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
