Position Description:

Operate in a dual role for Exterior and Structural Systems (ExSSE). This is predominantly an engineering analyst position, but also performing the role of administrative assistant for the ExSSE Director. This role will create, analyze, and track key performance indicators for the organization. In addition, this role will support the ExSSE Director in calendar & agenda management and day-to-day operations.

ENGINEERING ANALYST

  • Gather and interpret large amounts of data from multiple sources required to report out key performance indicators - utilizing existing Excel databases, Qliksense databases, and reference materials
  • Analyze and update data to allow for granular reporting down to manager and chief levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with global partners and business teams to create consistency and efficiency in reporting - Identify trends in key performance data and report findings
  • Create new processes and tools/dashboards to manage/track status to objectives delivery
  • Track weekly changes in delivery and report out to senior level management, pointing out key areas of focus and next steps required
  • Maintain an understanding of the organizational make-up, overall operations and deliverables to ensure most efficient levels of operating
  • Make recommendations based on analytical findings ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
  • Day to day calendar & agenda management, identifying conflicts and providing solutions to ensure priorities are met
  • Manage global travel plans and itinerary - Coordinate ad hoc meetings across functional teams
  • Manage Overtime compilation and submission for the org, including filing on time - Manage the organization vacation SharePoint file

Skills Required:

  • Intermediate MS Excel Knowledge
  • Use of vlookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, if statements, etc.
  • MS Office
  • WebEx
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment and adapt to changing schedules and priorities
  • Ability to solve practical problems and communicate steps taken for resolution
  • Ability to work with a global team
  • Ability to work with confidential information with discretion
  • Willing to help anyone in the org or outside the org If selected for interview, candidate will be given a set of data and will be asked to analyze and create a summary in MS Excel to demonstrate their analysis and Excel skills.
  • Advanced Excel - VBA and Macros

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated MS Excel Experience
  • Previous or automotive industry experience - Experience with FEDE, FEDEBOM, or QlikView tools

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
